The Lihu`e Public Library is Located on Hardy Street across from Wilcox Elementary School; however, that was not its original site. The first Lihu`e Public Library was Located at the present home of the Kaua`i Museum and was called the Albert Spencer Wilcox Memorial Building. The current Lihu`e Public Library has been at its present location for nearly 40 years.
